Staff Profile: Orly White

As part of our ongoing series of staff profiles, meet Orly White, who started working at Juniper in January of 2016 and has worked in retail, as a server, in the kitchen and as a bartender. Orly also works as a cook and in other roles on backcountry pack trips. Whether she is in a remote camp or at Juniper, Orly makes food and cocktails with a lot of love, and is a joy to be around.

What are your favorite things to drink?
My favorite drink can range from a crisp rosé to a big, fat red to a cozy Sazerac, depending on the weather, the circumstances, the people I’m with and a variety of other factors.

What are you favorite things to eat?
I can’t even narrow it down! Usually, whatever I’m eating at the moment if it’s prepared really well and just hitting the spot.

What’s the best part about living in Cody?
I love the work I’m able to do here. Also I love beauty, and whatever direction you look, you can find that here. Living near my sister is a major draw as well!

What do you like about working at Juniper?
I wanted to work at Juniper, and love working there because it represents, to me, something special: a place where you can try new things, learn about new wines and drinks, and have a different experience than you would have anywhere else in Cody.

Describe your perfect day.
Winning the lottery and/or time outside riding, fishing (and of course catching lots of fish), or hiking with my dog, time with people I love, a bath, a nap and scrumptious food.
