Festivus, as you no doubt already know, is a secular holiday celebrated as an alternative to the pressures and commercialism of the Christmas season.
Juniper will set up our traditional, unadorned metal pole, and we’re planning on hosting the customary airing of grievances and feats of strength. We’ll also be hosting musician Wes Urbaniak from 8-10 p.m. on Festivus night (Saturday, Dec. 22).
Our amazing bar and kitchen crew are already working up a fantastic Festivus Feast for you, including:
– bruschetta trio: pickled beet and picholene olive tapenade; prosciutto, sauerkraut and cheese; and ricotta, pancetta and valencia orange peel, all paired with Teso Monastrell Spanish red.
– Split Pea and Lentil Soup with hamhocks, carrots, onions, and garlic (cooked in pancetta fat), paired with Domain Phillippe Gilbert Menetou Salon Rosé.
– a secret house-made eggnog cocktail that will put the “us” in Festivus.
Admission is free, and we will be making a donation to The Human Fund on behalf of all attendees.
FESTIVUS: SATURDAY, DEC. 22 — Doors open at 4 p.m. with the Wes Urbaniak playing 8-10 p.m. and the full Festivus Miracles happening all night long.
